Virgilio P. Raposo, 55, of Hunter Street, Warwick passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carol M. (Pestana) Raposo. Born in Sao Miguel, Acores he was a son of Natalia (Pereira) Raposo and the late Antonio S. Raposo. Virgilio worked at Swan Point Cemetery for 24 years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Band Society. Virgilio will always be remembered as a very outgoing person who was full of life. He loved his family and friends and would always lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved antique cars and motorcycle riding and his favorite vacation spot was Strawberry Park in Preston, CT. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Elizabeth Raposo and Katherine Raposo both of Warwick, one sister, Antonia Jabotte of Burriville, four brothers, Antonio Raposo of Westerly, Paul Jose Raposo, Joao Raposo and Nuno Raposo all of East Providence, two Goddaughters, Bianca Tavarez and Isabella Raposo and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence.
