Steven P. Oliver

Steven P. Oliver, 70, of Rumford and also of the Villages, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center.  He was the husband of Carol M. (Donato) Oliver.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Anthony F. Oliver and Dorothy (Jones) Rohelia.  Steven was an industrial mechanic for the United States Postal Service before he retired. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Besides his wife he leaves two children, Lori Pinheiro and Peter J. Oliver, Sr. both of Rumford, four grandsons, Peter Jr., Kyle, Jordan and Justin, his lifelong friends Albert and Elena Santaniello and a big loving family.

His funeral service will be private. Please omit flowers.

Dear Carol, Lori & Peter.. words cannot heal what you are feeling, but know that time helps with the pain. At least he didn't suffer long with this horrible cancer!! I hope the memories you hold dear in your hearts, get you through this trying time.. Rest in Heavenly Peace Sir.

Carol, Lori, Peter, and family, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. I never had the honor of meeting Steve, but I did feel I knew him. To me he seemed such a quiet, laid back, easy going , and warm person. I am sorry I did not meet him. I hope you all bond even closer together and support each other at this difficult time. Steve, may you RIP.

Dear Carol and family, I am so sorry for the sudden loss of your husband , father, and grandfather. It was evident he loved you all. You have the treasures of that with all your photos. Carol, I am so saddened by the news of Steve's passing. He is at peace now and God will take good care of him. Just know he will be watching over you and Lori & Peter and the grandkids. Sending prayers and lots of love to all of you

My deepest condolences to Carol, Lori, Peter, and all the rest of the family. May you all be comforted by the fact that he did not have to suffer for a prolonged time. Losing a loved one is always so difficult to handle, but hopefully time will help the healing process. Again, my utmost sympathies to you all. Stay strong!
