Olive Carvalho

Olive Carvalho, 97, formerly of Apollo Road, East Providence passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emanuel and Maria (Caetano) Carvalho. Olive was a machine operator for the Mason Manufacturing Company before she retired. She was one of twenty siblings and was the last surviving member. She loved shopping and spending time with her friends and grandchildren and was also a big fan of game shows including, The Price is Right and Family Feud.

She leaves two daughters, Deborah Cortes and her husband Edwin of Florida and Keren Carvalho and her fiance Ronald of East Providence, four grandchildren, Ashley Cortes, Arianna Poissant, Courtney Carvalho and Ryan Moyeno and ten great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday morning 11-12.

Deborah and family members. My heartfelt condolences, on the passing of your Mom. My Mom (Lillian White) was at Hattie Ide. We enjoyed talking with your Mom.
