Maximino Camara

Maximino Camara, 87, of East Providence, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital.  He was the husband of Maria D. (Pacheco) Camara.

Born in Ribeira Seca, Ribeira Grande, Azores he was a son of the late Augusto and Gloria (Machado) Camara.

Mr. Camara worked as a landscaper.  He was a very hardworking man whose ultimate goal was to support and provide for his family.  He enjoyed being outdoors gardening, grafting and pruning his fruit trees, landscaping beautiful flower beds.  His Christmas “presepio” was always a memorable display of the holidays and the traditions of his homeland.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be missed dearly.

Besides his wife, He leaves four children, Mary J. Maldonado and her husband Edwin of East Providence, Joe S. Camara of East Providence, Gloria Moore and her husband Raymond of Exeter and Antonio A. Camara and his wife Karrie of East Providence, four grandchildren Raymond Moore, Danielle Moore, Lexi Camara and Ciana Camara, one brother, Augusto Camara of S. Miguel, three sisters, Hortense O’Connor of Bermuda, Maria José Camara of S. Miguel and Connie Damaso of Canada, several nieces and nephews.  He was the brother of the late Gloria Pacheco, Antonio Camara, Beatriz Camara, Manuel Camara and José Camara.

His funeral service will be private for family only.
