Mary A. Cashman

Mary A. Cashman, 93, of East Providence, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at her home. She was the former wife of the late Sorzio DeAngelis.

  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Mary (Vargas) Burke and David Cashman. Mary was an office manager for Abar Color Lab in Providence before she retired.

She leaves two children, Leslie A. Thacker and her partner Linda Fernandes of Florida and Deborah A. Wiggins and her husband Gabriel of East Providence and Mary Berube,who was like a daughter to her. She was the mother of the late  Mary Ann (Gordon) Pina. She leaves behind two sisters, Dorothy Santos of Warwick and Sharon McConnell of FL. She was the sister of the late David H. Cashman. She leaves behind four   grandchildren, Keith, Corrine, Michaela and Taylor, five great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and a niece Teri Donovan.

She was the grandmother to the late David Sousa and Kenneth Freeman and the great grandmother to the late Stephanie Sousa and Derek Sousa.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 8:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 5-8.

Gram, I love you so much! You were the best gram ever! Your laugh was contagious! I’ll never forget any of the time we’ve spent together. Especially you fluffing your pillows and who could ever forget the chipmunks!!! Gram please guide me my way with your angel wings, I’m sure your the most beautiful angel I know!
