Marie M. (Reis) Rose, 90, died Saturday, November 21st at the home of her daughter, JoAnn Rose, of Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was the widow of John Rose, Sr. to whom she was married for 65 years. Born December 17, 1929 in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Sousa) Reis. Mrs. Rose was a machine operator for Nyman Manufacturing for many years prior to her retirement. She leaves three daughters, Gail Davis (William), of Cumberland, JoAnn Rose of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Rosemarie DeWolf (Kevin) of Pensacola, Florida, and one son, John Rose, Jr. of East Providence. She leaves granddaughters, Krissy Albrecht (Nathan), and Rachel Rose, and a grandson, RJ Perry (Danielle). She also leaves great grandchildren Zoe and Nevaeh Albrecht and Jacob and Troy Perry. She leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Florence Antonian, Rose Reis, Augusto Reis, Manuel Reis, John Reis, and Agnes Topper. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 5 – 7 PM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Funeral and burial will be private due to current Covid-19 restrictions.

My sincerest sympathy to the Rose family. My parents were neighbors on Wampanog Trail since they purchaed their home in the early 1950's. May your mother rest in peace in.her heavenly home.
