Manuel G. Jorge

Manuel G. Jorge, 89, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020.

He was the husband of the late Ana E. (Escobar) Jorge.

Born in Madalena, Pico, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio G. and Flora (Tomasai) Jorge.

Mr. Jorge immigrated with his family to the United States in 1967 where he resided in Pawtucket,, RI. He was a machinist for American Insulated Wire for many years before retiring in 1996. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and enjoyed working at his son’s family business, Darlington Autobody in Pawtucket.

He leaves two sons, Manuel F. Jorge of Pawtucket and Joe A. Jorge and his wife Audrey of Scituate, three grandchildren, Chris, Ryan and Jessica Jorge and one great grandson, Aiden Jorge.

Calling hours will be held from 5-7 on Thursday, October 29, 2020 in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. His funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Continuum Hospice, 1350 Division Road, Suite 205, West Warwick, RI 02893.
