Manuel D. Cabral, 74, of Jackson Avenue passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Miriam Hospital. He was the husband of Maria U. (Correia) Cabral. Born in Rabo de Peixe, Sao Miguel, Azores he was a son of the late Antonio and Rose (Reis) Cabral. Mr. Cabral was a molder for the Mine Safety Appliance Company before he retired. He also served in the Military when he was living in the Azores. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Ana M. Martins of East Providence, two sons, Domenic Cabral of Lynnfield, Ma. and Manuel D. Cabral, Jr. and his wife Melissa of East Providence, five grandchildren, Alexander, Tyler, Madison, Starsha and Lyric, one sister, Maria Rego, five brothers, Antonio Cabral, Joseph Cabral, Dominic Cabral, Herman Cabral and Carlos Cabral. He was the brother of the late Edward Cabral. His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-8.
