Joseph R. Mello, 69, of Forbes Street, Riverside passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the husband of Mary F. Waldron-Mello. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Madeline (Alves) Mello. Joe was a Truck Driver for the Teamsters, Local 251. He was also the office manager and co-owner of East Bay Family Counseling Center. He was a communicant of St. Brendan’s Church. Besides his wife he leaves one son, Diogo Mello, two daughters, Jennifer Mello and Margaret Waldron- Mello, one sister, Betty Nobre, four brothers, Daniel, Anthony, David and Mark Mello and one granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Felica LeBlanc. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8.
