Joan F. Bell





Joan F. Bell, 84, of Garden Drive, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by her children.  She was the wife of Normand W. Bell to whom she was married 57 years.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Timothy E. and Julia (Sullivan) Carrigan.  Mrs. Bell was a school teacher for the Warwick School Department before she retired.  Besides her husband she leaves four children, Paul Bell and his wife Lynne of Cranston, John Bell and his wife Diane of Pascoag, Dr. Mark Bell and Sandra of South Windsor, CT. and Lisa Bell and fiance Ray Paiva of Rumford and nine grandchildren.  We would like to thank Donna Yan for her kindness, friendship, and the excellent care she provided. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-7.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 222 Richmond Street, Providence, RI 02903 would be appreciated.
