I was so looking forward to the world opening back up so that we could enjoy James' laughter and teasing at another cookout. I always appreciated his fierce love of God and his family. What an honor it was to get to know him and share laughter with him. I send my deepest condolences to his wife and daughters and the rest of his family. I will be lifting you in prayer with sincere love.

I just had wished him a happy birthday 2 days before, then I hear that one of my best childhood friends passed on! Loved communicating through Facebook! So sorry for your loss. Jimmy did inspire me to get my COVID-19 vaccination shot. Know that he was loved and will be missed!!!

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. It is one that we feel as well. James was always a great customer, smiling and making us laugh with his fake voices at the speaker. Just thinking about it makes me smile and now its making me shed tears for him and you all. He was not only a customer, he was our neighbor and overtime became a friend. Then we hired his daughter Shayla and they became part of the family here at DD. He is sorely missed. Much love to you all.

I couldn't sleep the night that James passed, and as I was watching some stand-up comedy on TV, Michael Jr. came on. I remembered how James invited us to come and see him at FCC, and blessed us with the tickets. He was a real brother to us at all times. Nothing was too much for him to roll up his sleeves and help us with. He will be very much missed.
