Hope M. Caparco

Hope M. Caparco, 60, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of Henry T. “Cap” Caparco for 37 years.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Cronin) Kehoe.  Hope was a Registered Nurse at Women and Infants Hospital before moving on to the Community Nursing Association. She was also a school nurse and 5th grade teacher at St. Brendan’s School in Riverside.  Hope was passionate about her work as a teacher where she loved sharing her love of learning and service with her students.  In recent years, she spent countless hours at St. Martha’s Church volunteering with the food pantry and for the St. Vincent DePaul Society.  Hope lived life to the fullest and inspired all who knew her to always dream big.Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Julie and Mary-Ellen, two sons, Andrew and his wife Erin, and Stephen, two stepdaughters, Melissa Tunberg and her husband Derek of New Hampshire and Jennifer Caparco-McArthur of North Carolina, and one adopted daughter, Jennifer Cochrane of Woonsocket, RI.  She is also survived by her brother, Walter Kehoe and his wife Ann Marie of Warren, RI, her sister in law, Kathy Kehoe of California, her mother in law, Matilda E. “Tillie” Caparco of Pawtucket and her brother in law, Michael Caparco and his wife Elaine of Springfield, MA.  She was the loving grandmother “nanie” to Emma Hope, Lyric, Liam, Emily, Ana, Tori, Trey, and Brandon.  She was the sister of the late John Kehoe of California.  Her funeral will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 3-8.
