Geraldine N. Addison

On Thursday, August 22, 2019 Geraldine Nova Addison (Venable) age, 76 passed this life.  She was the daughter of the late John and Marion (Randall) Venable.  She was born October 1, 1943 in Providence, Rhode Island. She was married to the late Edward Lawrence Addison, Jr. They lived in Pawtucket and East Providence, Rhode Island Geraldine (Gerry) attended Hope High School and upon graduating received an award of perfect attendance for 12 years of school. She worked at Trifari’s and Monet Jewelry as a secretary and also at Miriam Hospital as an Administrative Assistant where she later retired after several years.  She played racquetball, golf, crochet and enjoyed yoga.  She loved to bake and made wonderful bake goods for all to enjoy. She was a faithful member of the Union Baptist Church in Pawtucket, R. I.  She served as Treasurer and was involved in other activities.  She and her husband traveled to Aruba frequently. They enjoyed the finer things in life.  She was also on the committee with Central Park’s “Park Day” in East Providence. She loved watching her grandchildren especially in their dance and sport activities. She is survived by her children, Krysten Lyn Addison of Atlanta, Georgia, Nycole Joi Williams(Carroll) also of Atlanta, Georgia, her grandchildren, Kahlil Williams, Nylah Williams, SanaiyaWilliams, Novae Mathis, Logahn Mathis, their dad, Neil Mathis.  She was the sister of June Boone, of St. Louis, Missouri, Carroll Venable of East Providence, Laurene Venable of East Providence, Ellen Robertson of Surprise, Arizona, and Alesia Ross of Pawtucket, the late Beverly Lee, Flora Mayes, Jeanne Brown, Pauline Hazard, John Venable, Jr. and Barbara Venable.  She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Union Baptist Church, 50 Lupine Street, Pawtucket with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.
