Francis T.”Dolly” Ohanian

February 21, 2013

Frances  “Dolly” (Cicerelli)  Ohanian, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 21, 2013.  She was the cherished wife and soul mate of the late Samuel Ohanian for 63 years.

Born in East Providence on July 12, 1928, Dolly was the daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Sirignano) Cicerelli.  She was the devoted and loving mother of Cathleen Paniccia and her husband Joseph and James Ohanian and his wife Kimberly all of Cranston.  Dolly cherished her grandchildren – she was the incredible “grammy” of Lindsey Beaulieu and her husband Wesley and Hannah Rose Ohanian.  Dolly’s passion was spending time with her family.  Along with her husband Sam, Dolly genuinely welcomed family and friends to their home where she greeted everyone with an abundance of unconditional love and home cooked meals with heart – warming memories.  As the family matriarch, Dolly graciously spent her time taking care of her family and extended family.  She had a big heart, loved life and everyone in it.  She leaves a legacy of love and for that we will be forever grateful.  She will be sadly missed by the many lives she touched.

Dolly is survived by her niece Barbara Cicerelli of San Francisco, nephew Michael Cicerelli of East Providence and many family members and friends.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-8. Flowers kindly omitted.  Contributions to Miriam Hospital Oncology Program, P.O. Box, Providence, Rhode Island 02901 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
