Filomena A. Garcia

Filomena A. Garcia, 96, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of the late Francisco Feijó.

Born in Ribeira Grande, São Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Teodora Garcia.  Mrs. Garcia worked for Monet Jewelry Company before she retired. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church.  Mrs. Garcia was a great cook and loved baking sweet bread and pastries.  She was also a seamstress who would make her own clothes and crochet many items to share with her family.  She loved traveling and spending time with her family. Mrs. Garcia will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves two children, Maria Pereira and her husband Salvadore Pereira of Riverside and Alvaro Feijó and his wife Maria Hortencia Feijó of São Miguel, five grandchildren, Clorinda Pereira, Anthony Pereira, Betty Pinheiro and her husband Luis M. Pinheiro, Antonio Maria Feijó and his wife Regina Feijó, Ana Maria Feijó Gaudêncio and her husband Alexandre Branco Gaudêncio, nine great grandchildren, Anthony Pereira, Jr., Dominique Pinheiro, Victor Pereira, Jr., Gabriel Pereira, Madison Pereira, Rafael Feijó, Ângela Feijó Gaudêncio, Alexandra Feijó, Francisco Feijó Gaudêncio.  She was the sister of the late, Antonio Paulo Garcia, Manuel Garcia and, Conceição Soares.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 9-10 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, 79 North Carpenter Street, East Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

I am so shocked to see this news I was just talking about her with my daughter on Sunday. I am so very sorry for your loss. Sr. Filomena was such a lovely woman with such a beautiful soul and heart.. I loved her so much and was blessed to have known her. i missed seeing her at the office. My love and prayers go out to you and your family Maria may she rest in peace she will be greatly missed 💔
