Evaristo Sabato

Evaristo Sabato, 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the Hope Hospice.

He was the husband of Edda (Spano) Sabato to whom he was married for 61 years.

Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Armando and Concetta (Puocci) Sabato.

Mr. Sabato was a cabinet maker and worked for Vaughn Woodworking until he retired.  He was a true artist when it came to his craft.  He was loved by all who knew him and cherished by his family.

Besides his loving wife, he leaves one daughter, Concetta Goncalves, and her husband Mario of Rumford, one son, Eduardo Spano and his wife Beatrice of Brazil, and Maria Brito of Atlanta, GA to whom Mr. Sabato considered as a daughter, four grandchildren, Kaio Goncalves of Rumford, Vittoria Raposo of East Providence, Rafael Spano, Gabriel Spano both of Brazil, two great-grandchildren, Kayden Raposo and Ryle Raposo, four brothers, Eugenio Sabato of Canada, Francisco Sabato of Italy, Alfredo Sabato of Italy, Giuseppe Sabato of France.  He was the brother of the late Esilda Sabato.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 14, 2021, at 11:30 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, 472 Atwells Ave, Providence, RI.  Burial will immediately follow in St. Ann’s Cemetery.  Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Estimada D.Edda, lamento muito a partida do seu esposo e foi um grande prazer meu conhecer o Sr. Sabato. Era uma excelente pessoa, sempre alegre, cortês e muito sorridente. Tive muita pesar de não ter conhecimento mais cedo do seu falecimento. Os meus sentidos pêsames para si e toda a família e que a sua alma descanse em paz no reino eterno. Um grande abraço para si.🕊🖤
