Emma I. Palumbo Greenfield

Emma I. Palumbo Greenfield, 93, of Rumford Towers, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Ralph P. Palumbo.

Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Emma (Oliver) Andrews. Emma was a Hostess at the former Eileen Darlings Restaurant and the Hearthstone Restaurant for many years before she retired. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing bingo, her trips to the casino and spending beautiful summer days at the beach. Above all else, she loved her family. Spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren always made her happy.

She leaves three children, Alan Palumbo and his wife June of Seekonk, Lauriann Obering and her husband Paul of East Providence and Gregory Palumbo and his wife Nancy of Jupiter, Florida, seven grandchildren, Amy, April, J.R., Zachary, Ian, Peyton and Mitchell, six great grandchildren, Darian, Blaze, Madison, Daizie, John, Dylan and Colton and two brothers, Anthony Andrews of Seekonk and Ronald Andrews of North Providence. She was the mother of the late Nancy DiPietro and sister of the late Lester Andrews, James Andrews, Gladys Yaghjian and Muriel Grala.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be private.

My sincere sympathies to Emma’s family I was a dear friend of Nancy’s and had the pleasure of knowing you and being in your company at Nancy’s many times . Your memory will always be with us for being a wonderful Mother and Grandmother and Great Grandmother may God be with you and your loving family.

My sympathy to Emma's family on her passing. I enjoyed knowing Emma here at Rumford Towers. She was a bright spot in our day with her smile and happy attitude. We had many laughs. I and many others will miss her among us. RIP Emma.
