Denise G. (Gagne) Francis

Denise G. (Gagne) Francis 62 of East Providence passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital due to complications from COVID. She is survived by her husband Robert A. Francis.

Born in Providence, she was the sixth child of the late Wilfred Gagne and M. Jeannette (Barrette) Gagne. Devoted mother of Erin, Lindsay and Janelle (Andrew Viele) Francis. Grandmother of Cameron, Jakari, Naftali, Andrew and Mila.

She is also survived by her siblings Paula A. Viau-Hann, Donna MG Bosworth (Michael) and David T. Gagne (Maryanne). Pre-deceased by Fr. Walter P. Gagne, SA and Patricia D. Gagne. She also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.

Following her graduation from East Providence High School, Class of 1976, she attended Katherine Gibbs and began a life-long career in medical office management. She retired as the Chief Operating Officer from Women’s Care, Inc. in Pawtucket.

Denise will long be remembered for her witty humor, contagious laugh, love of cooking and family celebrations. Due to the pandemic restrictions, services will be private.

Donations in her honor can be made to the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement Graymoor, PO Box 301, Garrison, NY 100524, Attention Fr. Emil.

I am so sad to hear of Denise's passing. She was a memorable and always lively member of the Women's Care team, I worked with her for many years. I also considered her a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, her husband and daughters.

I am sad to hear this news! My deepest condolences. Denise was a dear friend and colleague for many years at Women's Care. She was so capable, caring and engaging. I will remember her always. She will go straight to heaven as the story is that on Christmas Day the gates are open!

How terribly sad. Denise was my office wife for many years and we owe her much for the growth of our practice Women’s Care. Her vivacious nature kept most of us laughing even in the most difficult times. I was the boss but she ran everything. My deepest condolences to Bobby and the girls

My condolences to the Francis family. I worked with Denise for many years and she groomed me to be the coder/ auditor I am today. I remember vividly of her saying ‘Lisa you have talent you need to get you coding certification “ years fast forward she was right. I have several certifications and one of them as an Instructor.
