Crystal Ivette Williams Fernandez

Crystal Ivette Williams Fernandez, 59, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021.  She was the wife of John Fernandez.

Born in New York, she was a daughter of the late Gordon Williams and Adeline Lopes.

Our mom, Ms. Crystal touched so many lives with her kindness, selflessness and hospitality. Our mother was a mother to so many. She gave birth to four of us but she raised and loved and nurtured so many more.  If you knew our mom, you knew that she was the most loving and caring person on earth. Our mom would give the shirt off her back to anyone that needed it.. and when she loved you, she loved you unconditionally.

Besides her husband, she leaves seven children, Chela Ortiz of Central Falls, Antone Medeiros of Providence, Sheena Medeiros of Central Falls, Celeina Medeiros of Providence, Cecelia Fernandez of Johnston, Kiona Medeiros of East Providence, Dominique Fernandez of Providence, Lateisha Medeiros of New Jersey, three sisters, Donna Williams, Paula Williams, Monique Medeiros-Beltran, a brother, Gordon Williams, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Lucille Williams.

Her funeral and visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 10-11 A.M. in the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 475 Cranston Street, Providence, with a service to follow at 11 A.M.  Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

The Family requests that if at all possible, that white attire be worn to honor their mom.

Crystal was a great person and friend to me and she let me into her life and home for a few years! She helped me out a lot in my life and I will never forget what she has taught me through the years. We went our separate ways in life but all I can say is she was a wonderful mother and caring friend! She will be missed and hope all her kids are doing great!

Crystal was the true meaning of mother. So for everyone that was blessed to have been a recipient of her love take comfort in knowing that a mother's love is never-ending; for even in her passing her love remains in the wonderful memories of her that will continue to put smiles on the faces of all who were a part of her life. Take comfort in this time of loss knowing that God remembers her too. John 5:28,29; Psalms 37:29
