Catarina M. Teixeira

Catarina M. Teixeira, 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. She was the wife of the late Antonio Teixeira.

Born in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Julia (Mota) Cruz. While living in the Azores Mrs. Teixeira was a school teacher. She came to the United States with her husband and children in 1970. She worked for the Morris Transparent Box Company and the Numaco Box Company. In her retirement years she loved to travel, paint and garden.

She leaves three children, Lelia S. Teixeira, Filomeno “Fil” Teixeira and his wife Kathy and Lucia Teixeira-Maguire and her husband Christopher and two grandchildren, Catrina Maguire and Danielle Maguire.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, 60 Turner Avenue, Riverside. Burial will be private.
