Zelia V. Pereira

Zelia V. Pereira, 83, of East Providence passed away peacefully at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. Pereira.

Born in Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Guilherme and Maria (Victoria) Rodrigues. Mrs. Pereira worked for the Rhode Island Textile Company before she retired. She loved her family and always enjoyed cooking for them and spending time at all of the family events.

She leaves three sons, Fernando M. Pereira and his wife Fatima, Valentino J. Pereira and his wife Maria and Nick R. Pereira and his wife Theresa all of East Providence, three grandchildren, Vanessa, Kevin and Nicholas Pereira, three great grandchildren, Alyssa and Nathan Lopes and Averie Pereira, two sisters, Maria Kreger and Eduarda Leite, two brothers, Joao and Antonio Rodrigues and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Francisca Moreira, Manuel, Guilherme and Guiomar Rodrigues.

Her funeral services will be private.
