William “Guilherme” R. da Costa was born on 25 March 1942 and passed away on Saturday, 29 June 2019, age 77 years old with Esther by his side. Resident of Hazard Avenue, East Providence, he is survived by two sisters, Maria do Carmo Melo and Almerinda Amaral, who reside in Canada, and Fernando Balseiro, who lives in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal. He was also brother of the late José da Costa. Many nieces and nephews, on his siblings’ side, will always remember his somber demeanor and his sensitive heart.
He was born in São Miguel, Azores, Portugal and served his military duty in Lisbon. After, he immigrated to the United Sates, living there until his death. He was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Parish in East Providence. He was retired from Federal Products.
He was a proud and honorable man, who loved to take care of his vegetable garden and fruit trees in his backyard. He also enjoyed watching Portuguese soccer on TV. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.
The funeral and burial will take place in Ribeira Grande, São Miguel, Azores.
