Weber M. Amaral
Weber M. Amaral, 84, of East Providence passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria L. (Medeiros) Amaral.
Born in Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Azores he was a son of the late Joaquim and Maria (Medeiros) Amaral. Mr. Amaral was a welder for Taco before he retired 22 years ago. Mr. Amaral was a professional cyclist in the Azores. He participated in numerous competitions earning himself various medals. Mr. Amaral also enjoyed fishing off the rocks at Jamestown. He never came home without buckets of fish. He loved gardening and tending to his yard, his casino trips and cruises. He was his happiest when he was surrounded by his entire family on Sundays for our big Sunday dinners.
Our Dad will be remembered for many wonderful things but most of all for his kind heart and his way with words.
He leaves nine children, Victor Amaral, John Amaral and his wife Maryann, Filomena Cole and her husband Mark, Maria Matos and her husband Germano, Susana Barbosa and her husband Carlos, Luis Amaral and his wife Grace, Joseph Amaral and his husband Steven, Paul Amaral and his wife Martha and Weber Amaral, two sisters, Maria Rosa Oliveira and Zenaida Cabral, one brother, Louis Amaral, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Idalina Amaral, Gilda Sousa, Gilberto Amaral and Joseph Amaral.
His funeral service will be private.
