Vivian M. Prattis, 83, a resident of the Steere House, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. She was the wife of the late Rodney M. Prattis. Born in Camden, Delaware she was a daughter of the late Alfreda (Wisher) Loper and step daughter of the late Robert Loper. Mrs. Prattis was a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Medical Center in Cranston for 28 years before she retired. She was a longtime member and a Prayer Warrior of the Church of God and Christ Jesus in Providence and was also known as Mother of the Church. She was a loving caregiver to all people. She leaves one daughter, Phyllis V. Barrett of Kansas, two sons, Rodney M. Prattis, Jr. of Maryland and Tommy Jones and his wife Dee of Johnston, her very close and dear friend, Margaret Santos, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Lois Prattis. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
