Virginia E. (Pratt) Williams, 92, formerly of Huntington Drive, Rumford died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was a resident of Rumford for 90 years, and for the last 2 years a resident of the East Bay Retirement Community in Riverside. She was the wife of the late Norman E. Williams to whom she was married 57 years. Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Horace and Regina (Theroux) Pratt.A lifetime communicant of St. Margaret Church, Ginny served on many committees and was a former Eucharistic Minister at Evergreen House Health Center. She was a member of the East Providence Historical Society and the R.A.C.A.She was the beloved mother of Patricia A. Russo of Cranston, Barbara W. Larned of Barrington, Christine M. Williams-Miller of Glen Cove, New York, Norman P. (Bud) Williams of Rumford, Paul R. Williams of Rumford and John C. Williams of Providence, thirteen grandchildren; Cheryl Russo, Cassandra Miller, Michael and Matthew Russo, Steven, Jeffrey, Daniel, Brad, Andrew and Greg Williams, Edward, Michael and Benjamin Larned, three great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy Jay of Warwick and many cherished nieces and nephews.Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret Church.
