Tony A. Lima, 61, of Martin Street passed away Thursday December 29, 2016 at the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Providence. He was the husband of Mary Jo (Silva) Lima to whom he was married for 40 years. Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel Azores he was a son of Henrique and Olivia (Almeida) Lima. He was the owner and operator of Kendra’s Jobbers. Tony and his brother Abel were known as the Lima Brother’s (Guitaristas) who have been playing together for over 30 years. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Kendra Lima and her husband Jose DeLima of Cranston, one son, Justin Lima and his wife Andrea of Coventry, three grandchildren, Juliana Lima, Katia DeLima and Audra Lima, two sisters, Filomena Labao and Barbara Heiss, four brothers, Abel, Henry, Joe and Ray Lima. His funeral will be held on Saturday December 31, 2016 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday December 30, 2016 from 5-8.
