Terence F. “Terry” Owens, 73, of Lyon Avenue passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was the husband of Carol A. (Amaral) Owens. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late James and Faith (Flaherty) Owens. Terry worked for the United States Postal Service and Rhode Island School of Design before he retired. He was a communicant, Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Loreto Church and a 4th Degree Knight, Pius X Assembly. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Besides his wife he leaves five children, April J. Roppolo and her husband Cosimo, Sherri Owens, Frank P. Owens, Christopher T. Owens and Wendy M. Owens, two brothers, James Owens and Robert Owens, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 4-7.
