Roselina Coelho age 98, a resident of Lake City, Florida transitioned away peacefully Sunday June 11, 2017 at Baya Point Rehabilitation Center in Lake City. Born in Providence, Rhode Island she was the daughter of Cape Verde Islands immigrants Peter and Minnie Silva. She attended Public Schools in Providence, Rhode Island and after a lengthy work career she retired from Rhode Island Hospital as a food service worker. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Jose Coelho and daughter Marion (Henry) Cofield of Long Beach, California as well as 2 sisters, Anna Gomes and Matilda Baptista, 7 brothers, Joseph, Francis, Antone, Louis, Peter, Alfred and Manuel Silva all of Providence, Rhode Island. Roselina is survived by her son Anthony (Minnie) Gomes of Lake City Florida; grand daughters Deborah Cofield, Michelle Cofield, LaDonna Cofield, and Alisha Cottrell of Ventura California, and Simone Gomes of Jacksonville Florida; grand sons Atanasio Gomes of St. Paul Minnesota, and Amilcah Gomes of Miami Florida; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Correia of East Providence, Rhode Island host of nieces and nephews and special friends Mary Risk and Maxine Lowry of Lake City, Florida. A memorial service for Roselina Coelho will be 4:00pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at Jehovah’s Witnesses’ Kingdom Hall, 1811 S.W. Grandview Street, Lake City, Florida, Mr. James Morrison officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at COMBS FUNERAL HOME. 292 NE Washington Street. Lake City, and again Tuesday June 20, 2017, 6:00 to 8:00PM at PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, Rhode Island. Interment will be Wednesday June 21, 2017 11:00AM in the Rumford Cemetery East Providence, Rhode Island.
