Richard J. Miguel, 61, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the cherished husband of Arlene C. (Yates) Miguel for the last 37 years. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Diamantino and Almina (Vincent) Miguel. Mr. Miguel was a self employed businessman for many years and was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. He was named the Entrepreneur of the year by the U.S. Small Business Administration on May 23, 1996. He was an avid sportsman and a proud grandfather. Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Rebecca M. Albert of Lincoln, one son, Matthew V. Miguel of East Providence, two sisters, Diana George of Colorado, Odette Turenne of Cranston and four grandsons, Luke, Ethan, Connor and Ryan. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial with Military Honors will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8.
