Pedro P. “Pepe” Vales, 79, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, peacefully with family by his side.He was born in Brava, Cape Verde Islands a son of the late Joao and Ida (Pina) Vale. Mr. Vales was a Merchant Marine for Exxon Mobile before he retired. He was a member of the Exxon Club and the Ideal Club. He enjoyed Cape Verdean dances, talking about old times on the island and spending time with his grandkids. He was always meticulously dressed, had an avid love of cars, and enjoyed the sea. He leaves six children, Niceia V. Duarte, Pedro Samol, Robin M. Gay, Peter J. Vale and his wife Dorinda, Jeffrey D. Vale and his wife Sandy and Jennifer M. Vale, one sister, Maria Barros, one sister in law, Palmira DoVale, 13 grandchildren, Paula, Kenny, Kerry, Kevin, Arrick, Brandon, Adrianna, DeAnna, Peter, Landon, Nola, Brianna and Christianna, 4 great grandchildren, Asiel, Shaia, Jouse and Kerryani and many nieces, nephews cousins, other family members and friends. He was the brother of the late Jose DoVale and Carlota Vale. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan’s Church, Turner Avenue.
