Mildred I. “Peachie” Berthiaume, 82 of Chopmist Hill Road passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at her home. She was the wife of the late Andrew T. Jackson. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Margaret (McHugh) Parker. Peachie worked for the A.T. Cross Company before she retired twenty years ago. She was a member of the Rally Point Tennis Club in Greenville, the Crabtree Bowling League in Cranston and was an avid New England sports fan. Peachie was a ray of sunshine in every life she touched. She leaves one daughter, Linda Pimentel and her late husband Spunky of East Providence, two sons, Robert Berthiaume and his wife Grace of California and Edward Berthiaume and his wife Carol of Dighton, one stepdaughter, Debbie Jackson Homerston and her husband Paul of Hope, RI, two sisters, Margaret Wallace and Shirley Olson both of Riverside, one brother, Robert Parker of Seekonk, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was the great grandmother of the late Ellie Peach Donovan. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8. In lieu of flowers contributions to Hasbro Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
