May Mazzeo

Marian “May” Mazzeo, 63, passed away at home on Friday, September 16, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Evelyn (Barkett) Mastriano.May worked at the Seekonk School Administration Office for over twenty years and was a member of the Sodality at St. George Maronite Catholic Church.  Her greatest accomplishment though was being the most loving and caring mother to her children.   She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, whether it was taking a walk, having a picnic or just taking a moment to stop and smell the roses.  She was a lover of life and spread love and joy wherever she went, whether it was through her infectious smile, her heart of gold or her famous zucchini breads.  Her willingness to help others and make people smile knew no bounds.  She was the strongest woman who lived life with amazing grace and class.  Even through the difficult times, she kept a smile on her face and was truly a remarkable woman.  She made the world a better place and will be missed by all who knew her.  To honor the memory of the wonderful person she was, take a moment out of the day to do a good deed for someone else.  “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.” – Mother Teresa.  She leaves one daughter, Erica Bradley and her husband David of Seekonk,  one son, Marcus S. Lee of Seekonk,  her dear fiancé, Dale Madonna of Riverside and one sister, Ann Carnevale of Providence. She was the mother of the late A.J. Lee.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. George Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements by the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME.
