Maryann H. Callahan-Rowan, 77, of Rumford, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of Edward A. “Tony” Rowan.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late James I. and Helen V. (Sullivan) Holland. Maryann was the Canvassing Clerk for City of East Providence before retiring 11 years ago. She was a member of the East Providence Democratic City Committee and the East Providence Ward 1 Democratic Committee.
Besides her husband she leaves three children, Leslie S. Fox and her husband Kevin of CT., Lisa Callahan Corsetti and her husband Mark of Cranston and James H. Callahan of Rumford, four grandchildren, Kellie and Sara Fox and Jillian and Haley Corsetti, two brothers, her twin brother Gene Holland and Richard Holland and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Joseph Holland. Maryann loved being Nana and Auntie to so many and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret’s Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
