Mary A. Francis, 89, formerly of Bliss Street, East Providence passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at Waterview Villa. She was the wife of the late Henry Francis. Born in Cranston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Roderques) Amador. Mrs. Francis was a Customer Service Representative at Ann & Hope in Seekonk before she retired. She was a member of the first graduating class at Johnson & Wales University and was also a foster grandparent with the East Providence School Department. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for many years and enjoyed square dancing with her husband. She leaves three daughters, Maryann Bauch of Deer Park, Washington, Patricia Francis of Warwick and Deborah Serowik of East Providence, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Nathaniel Serowik and was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5-8.
