Marshall A. Williams, 87 of Roma Street died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Linn Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Rosilyn P.(Luz) Williams.
Born in East Providence he was a son of the late James and Pearl (George) Williams. Mr. Williams was the activity director at Meeting Street School before retiring. He was an avid golfer and one of the co-founders of the East Providence Handicappers Golf League and a honorary member of the Cape Verdean Progressive Center. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He leaves one daughter, Sherri L. Williams, one son, Robert M. Williams both of East Providence, one brother, Edward Williams of Coventry, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Virginia Wing and James Williams, Jr.
His funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5-8.
