Marion L. Cardi, 88, of Riverside passed away Friday December 4, 2015 at the Linn Health Care Center. Marion, also known to her husband as Nonie, was married to Anthony P. Cardi for 67 years. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Helen (Greene) Evans. Marion was the Dining Room Manager for the Turks Head Club before retiring. She was a woman of humility and living faith, compassion, and quick wit. Marion loved her charities, visiting with family and friends, reading and playing Skip-Bo. Marion opened her heart and her home to everyone, providing hospitality to people from around the world. Besides her husband she leaves five daughters, Anne Patterson, Mary Cardi, Jeanne Hoffner, Paula Berard and Candice Laurent, twelve grandchildren: David, Elliot , John, Therese , Mark, Ellen, Daniel, Philip, Margaret , Gabriel, Angela, Aaron and many nieces and nephews. She was the cousin of Louise Mayer and Kitty O’Connell as well as friend to her beloved dog, Darcy. Marion was the sister of the late Mary Paul, William Evans, Helen Bernardi, Marguerite Bradshaw and Edward Evans. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be private. Calling hours Wednesday 4-7. Lexington Street Baltimore, MD 21201-3443 would be a source of great joy to the family.
