Marie M. (Rocha) Moran

Marie M. (Rocha) Moran, 76, of Pawtucket, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Miriam Hospital with family by her side.  Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Julio F. and Helen (Camara) Rocha.  Marie graduated from East Providence HS, attended Bryant College and was a secretary for the Brown, Lyle and Marshall Company before becoming a full-time mother.    She leaves two daughters, Linda Moran of Tacoma, WA and Dr. Mary Moran of New York, NY, two sons and their wives, Drs. Thomas and Meena Moran of Guilford, CT and William and Tracy Moran of North Providence, six grandchildren, Michael, Jay, Joshua, Cassie, Krishnan and Anisha, four sisters and their husbands, Evelyn and Ret. Colonial James Edge of Virginia, Thelma Rocha of Riverside, Joan and Edward Daft of Riverside, and Diane and Michael Kennedy of Tiverton, and one sister-in-law, Joan Kennedy Rocha of Barrington. She was the mother of the late Timothy F. Moran and sister of the late Hon. Gilbert T. Rocha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be open to all and celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. A private burial will take place at Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery immediately following.
