Maria L. Roth
Maria L. Roth, 76, of Gerald Street passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Rhode Island Hospital following in home hospice due to an extended illness. She was the wife of the late Peter C. Roth.
Maria was born in New Rochelle, New York and was a daughter of the late Leberano Pasquale (Pat) and Maria Domenica (Sue) (DiFabbio) Boggi.
She leaves three children, Peter C. Roth, Jr. and his wife Catherine of Roswell, GA, Eric P. Roth and his wife Kelly of Natick, MA and Krista A. Williams and her husband Daniel of East Providence, five grandchildren, Katie, Trey, Michael, Addison and Daniel, Jr., her brother & sister-in-law, Richard and Barbara Roth, her brother in law, Joseph Patinelli and her nieces & nephews, Jamie Caro, Steven Roth, Kevin Roth and Susan Coyle. She was the sister of the late Adeline Patinelli.
Mrs. Roth attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan where she studied Interior and Fashion Design. She was a mother and care giver to her beloved children raising them in Commack, NY and then Raleigh, NC. When she returned to the workforce, Mrs. Roth joined a family business in construction where she then found her passion and decided to lead as the owner & operator of Applied Construction Technology, a roofing and masonry restoration business. She later moved with her husband’s work and became an Information Analyst with Equifax where she retired from in 2009 while living in Cumming, GA. Mrs. Roth loved her children and grandchildren, and held a close connection with her beloved Golden Retrievers over the years, Amber, Sydney and Bella including volunteering countless hours with the Golden Retriever Rescue before moving to Riverside, RI in 2009 to be with family. While living in RI Mrs. Roth enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, visits to the beach and visiting her favorite place, Newport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 10 AM in St. Margaret’s Parish, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford, RI. The service will be streamed onto the Parish’s Facebook page for those unable to attend in person. Burial will be private. Flowers may be sent to Perry- McStay Funeral Home, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, RI. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
