Maria C. Vieira, (ne’ Vieira) 66, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, formally of Danforth Street and Mikayla Ann Drive, Rehoboth passed away into eternal rest with her husband, daughter’s and grandchildren by her side. She was the wife of Steven F. Vieira. Born in Horta, Salao, Faial, Azores she was a daughter of the late Jose Vieira and Mary Gloria Furtado. Mrs. Vieira and her family moved in 1972 to Southampton, PA where she was employed by the Centennial School District as a bus driver. She returned to Rehoboth, MA in 1986 retiring with her husband to Port Saint Lucie, Fl. She had previously worked for Standard Romper in Pawtucket, RI, Davol Rubber Company and the Providence Community Health Center. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Lisa Vieira Canada and her husband Frank Canada of Faro, Algarve, Portugal , Renee M. Haslam and her husband Sgt. Marc R. Haslam of Swansea, MA, her beloved grandchildren, Francisco Steven Vieira Canada and Alexandra Marie Canada of Faro, Algarve, Portugal, Marc Richard Haslam II and Zachary Steven Haslam of Swansea, MA, two sisters, Tina Cabral and Donna Perry, three brothers, Joseph M.,Michael K. and Edward Vieira. She was the sister of the late John Vieira.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence.
