Maria C. Teixeira

Maria C. Teixeira, 80, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Waterview Villa.  She was the wife of the late João M. Teixeira.

She was born in Povação, S. Miguel, Azores a daughter of the late Manuel de Amaral and Angelina de Melo ( Peixoto) Justa.  She was a machine operator and worked for Leviton, Mfg. before she retired.

She leaves 8 children, Maria Lopes and her husband Tony of East Providence, Clarisse Correia and her husband Lino of East Providence, Robert Teixeira and his wife Laurie of Cranston, Lina Gormley of Smithfield, John Medeiros of Kissimmee, FL, Manuel Teixeira of East Providence, José Teixeira of East Providence and Angelina Stabile and her husband Peter of East Providence, two sisters, Maria Branco of East Providence, Catarina Torres of East Providence and one brother Manuel Viera of S.Miguel, Azores, a son-in-law, Luis Medieros of East Providence, 14 grandchildren and 12 Great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Maria C. Medeiros, grandmother of the late Aaliyah Medeiros, the sister of the late Dorvalino Amaral, Alfredo Justa and José Justa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 11 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 5-7 PM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.  The guidelines set forth by the Rhode Island Department of Health will be observed. Face coverings are required and only fifteen people will be allowed in the building at a time.

My heart is so saddened with this news. She was a strong loving woman and a tender soul. She was always the aunt that would kiss us ten times because she was so happy to see us.
