Maria Amelia Silva, 92, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Manuel M. Silva. Born in Ginetes, Sao Miguel, Azores she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Estefania (Soares) Pavao. Mrs. Silva was a seamstress at Rhode Island Hospital before she retired. She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. She leaves two daughters, Filomena Silva and her husband Victor of Smithfield and Grace Arruda and her husband Antonio of Riverside, four grandchildren, Christine Schultz and her husband Ed, Melissa Arruda, Shelley Radziewicz and her husband Todd and Victor Miguel Silva and his wife Ashley, three great grandchildren, Lila Radziewicz, Eli Radziewicz and Drew Radziewicz, two sisters, Margarida Pavao and Angela deOliveira and one brother, Rogerio Pavao. She was the sister of the late Germana Pavao. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 11,2019 at 9:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
