Manuel S. Flor, 70, of Providence passed away Sunday November 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria D. (Estrela) Flor. Born in Rabo dePeixo, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a son of the late Francisco and Cristina (Simao) Flor. While living in the Azores, Mr. Flor was a fisherman. He was an avid Benfica fan and was a loving caring husband, father and grandfather. Besides his wife he leaves six daughters, Ana Flor and her husband Adelino Cabral, Sandra Ruiz and her husband Juan, Debra Almeida and her husband Paulo, Rosaria Almeida and her husband Claudio, Diana Rego and Delfina Coelho and her husband Jonathan all of Providence, six sons, Rui Flor and his wife Sandra of Providence, Nick Flor of East Providence, Victor Flor and his wife Linda, Marco Flor and his wife Patricia and Bruno Flor all of West Warwick and Alex Flor of Providence, one sister, Dora Flor, four brothers, Serafim and Simao Camara, Joao and Paulo Flor, twenty eight grandchildren, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-8.
