Manuel “Manny” Alves

Manuel “Manny” Alves, son of the late Avis L. Williams (Clark) and Manuel Alves Sr. was born on April 6, 1968

in Providence, R.I. God in his infinite wisdom called him home on Saturday, March 27, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Linda Bowe- Alves of Cranston R.I. He was the brother of the late Keith J. Brown, Marcellous Brown and Deborah Williams.

Manny grew up in Providence, R.I. where he attended Hope High school and graduated in 1987. Manny was a licensed plumber with UA Local 51 plumbers and pipefitters. Manny was an exceptional man, who brightened up the lives of countless people. We all can find joy in the fact that he used his GOD-given talents to fulfill his purpose here on earth.

Manuel was united in matrimony to Linda L. Bowe- Alves on April 5, 1990. Born of their union were three beloved children Janae Alves, Deja Alves and Jabari Alves all of Cranston R.I. His only beloved grandchild Eli Lamin- Alves of Minnesota.

Manny was a very spiritual man who feared nothing but GOD.  Family was everything to him as he shinned his tremendous amount of love to his wife, children, family, friends and Community. He will be truly missed.

My Dad always taught me that people should see God in you by the way you talk and treat people. Manny was just like that! He had a light and Spirit in him that could only come from God. He loved his family, Linda and his children with every part of his being. All my prayers for Linda and his family but I know they have great faith and strength to get them through this life. Pray for us Manny. I hope and pray for the day we are all together again.
