Lillian M. DeSilva 83, of Cypress Drive, Swansea and formerly of Seekonk, died Thursday June 13, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Anthony DeSilva. She was born in Seekonk, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Silva) Mello. Mrs. DeSilva was an Avon representative for many years. She was a 1947 graduate of East Providence High School, enjoyed numerous activities at the Newman YMCA with her friends and was an avid gardener. She was a devoted communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Seekonk. She leaves two daughters, Celine Hall of Swansea and Alicia DeSilva of Seekonk, two sons, Ronald DeSilva and his wife Sharon of Seekonk and Jeffrey DeSilva of East Providence, ten grandchildren, Tassie Spragg, Brenda Provencal, Spencer DeSilva, Elisabeth DeSilva-Evans, Jenny DeSilva, Gregory DeSilva, Alec Hall, David Hall, Rachael Hall, Elyce Hall and eight great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late George, Florence, Evelyn, Charles, Alice and Beatrice. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk.
