Laureano Realejo, 82, of Sutton Avenue passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Waterview Villa surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Eduina (Melo) Realejo to whom he was married for 59 years but together for 69 years.
Born in Villa Franca, Sao Miguel, Azores he was a son of the late Francisco DeCosta Realejo and Cecilia Realejo. Mr. Realejo was a mason at Brown University for 28 years before he retired in 2005. His favorite hobbies were fishing, making puzzles and playing on his slot machine. One of his biggest passions was rooting for his favorite soccer team, Benfica. Above all else, his greatest joy in life was his family. The family would like to extend a big thank you to the staff at Waterview Villa for all of their love, support and wonderful care that was given to Mr. Realejo.
Besides his wife he leaves four sons, Victor Realejo and his wife Bonnie, Mario Realejo and his wife Heather, Joseph Realejo and his wife Connie and Larry Realejo and his partner Jason Bonaduce, nine grandchildren, Samantha Burns and her husband Ryan, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Victoria, Alexander, Skyler, Maddox, Spencer and Myles Realejo, one great granddaughter, Emily Burns, one sister, Maria Ana Frutuoso, two brothers, Manuel and Frank Realejo and also loved by so many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Anjos Realejo.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8.
