Kenneth L. Cook, 81, of Rumford, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Mary Anne (Coury) Cook to whom he was married 59 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Lawrence L. and Mary (King) Cook. Mr. Cook was the President and founder of the Anexco Insurance Agency of Providence, Boston and Connecticut. He served in the United States Army from 1954-1956 in Korea. He was a member of the Wannamoisett Country Club for the last 42 years. He loved his family and playing golf. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen A. Pierard and her husband Aaron of Rumford, his son, Kenneth B. Cook and his wife Barbara of Riverside, and his grandson, Michael P. Pierard of Rumford. He also is survived by his sister, Carol Abbood of East Providence and his brother, Barry D. Cook of Providence. He was the brother of the late Richard A. Cook and Laurence Cook. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be private.
