Julia A. Silveira, 101 of Orchard Street, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Jose D. daSilveira. Born in Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores she was a daughter of the late Manuel F. and Angelica E. Andrade. Mrs. Silveira was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was a member of the Prayer Group, the Holy Rosary Sodality and the Legion of Mary. She leaves five daughters, Mary Peixoto of East Providence, Connie Silveira of East Providence, Angelina Simoes of East Providence, Sr. Emily Marie Silveira, O.C.S. of Andover, Ma. and Lucy Forloney of Cranston, three sons, Joao Silveira, Manuel Silveira and Sergio Silveira all of East Providence, fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Jose Silveira, grandmother of the late Michelle Silveira, great grandmother of the late Emerson Forloney and sister of the late Mary White, Ana Souto, Olivia Silva, Conceicao Freitas, Sergio, Jose, Daniel and Serafim Andrade. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street.
