Joseph J. “Boo-Boo” Gomes

Joseph J. “Boo-Boo” Gomes 64, of East Providence, RI. Passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on June 3, 2020.

Born in Providence, RI he was a Security Guard at Top Security where he later retired. He was Auto Mechanic that loved working on cars and he could fix anything. He also enjoyed listening to soulful and gospel music. Despite his many years of health issues his perseverance and willingness to live always shined through his smile.

He was the son of the late Louis “Sonny” Silva and Jennie Mendes. He is survived by his children: Angela Gomes, Joseph Reynolds and wife Gillian Chambers, Reva Reynolds and fiancé Dervone Anderson.  Josephine Gomes, Delilah “Dee-Dee” Reynolds, Grandchildren: Marcos Zapata-Gomes, Joseph Reynolds Jr., Leah Blackwood, Antwan Coleman, Lilah Anderson, Brothers: Francisco “Frankie” Gomes, Victor “Manny” Gomes, Best Bud/Cousin Manny “Junior” Costa, and a whole host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the medical staff that has assisted with his care throughout the years. Due to the current Covid-19 Crisis, his funeral service will be private.

Dad this is the hardest thing I ever had to do in life ...but I know life is much easier for you up there beyond the clouds .I will miss our talks I will miss hearing that one of a kind laugh of yours ...dad I know you are the strongest person I will ever know so today and every other day I will be strong for you ...I love u sooo much and my kids ur grandchildren will know that and know how much of a great man you are ..untill we meet I will always be daddy's babygirl!!!!
