John Silva Britto, 89, of 85 Corinth Street, Providence passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Mary (Amado) Britto. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Lino and Sebastiana (Rosario) Britto. Mr. Britto was a carpenter with the Carpenters Union before he retired. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Besides his wife he leaves five children, John Britto, Jr., Cheryl Ann Britto, Leann Cleary, Kevin J. Britto and Mark A. Britto, three siblings, Manuel S. Britto, Joseph S. Britto and Paulina Britto, twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Danielle Strother. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:30 PM in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1340 Elmwood Avenue, Cranston.
