John B. “Papoose” Paris, Jr., 78, of Rehoboth, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Jeanette M. (Royster) Paris.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John B. and Ludovinia (Perriera) Paris. John was a lineman for the Narragansett Electric Company before he retired. He was a Deacon at House of Manna Ministries and also volunteered at the Camp Street Ministries Food Pantry. He was an Army veteran.
Besides his wife he leaves three children, John B. Paris, III and his wife Candace of Warwick, Jeneen Brito and her husband Alberto of East Providence and Jody Paris Blyden and her husband Emmett of Providence, one sister, Maria Carrington of Warwick, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Anna L. Paris.
His funeral and visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery.
